Dedicated bins for imported edits
XML imports create a uniquely identified Snake Eyes work bin before importing sequences and assets. Existing human bins are not adopted by name or reorganized. Import receipts record the destination; sequence containment failures require review.
If bin creation fails, the import cannot fall back to the project root. Native host behavior still requires pilot validation.
Other features
- Neutral, fresh-start defaults: a blank brief and Balanced guidance.
- Explicit priorities for gestures or composition.
- Local diagnostics, installation integrity checks and support reports.
- Source-range comparison to review what survives your revisions.
Test results and limits
On October 19, 2026, the extracted 0.4.168 bundle passed 805 automated tests, installation integrity checks, the distribution audit and six synthetic companion self-test checks. Its local website download matched the release archive byte for byte.
These checks do not establish clean-machine CCX installation, crash recovery or editorial quality. Development host testing covers one Mac with Premiere Pro 2026. Windows and broader host support remain unverified.
Before upgrading
Keep your previous build and current state folder. Finish pending operations and follow the upgrade instructions in GETTING_STARTED.md. Never replace newer recovery receipts with an older state backup.
